ICDP Rolls

At Maloo India, we take pride in importing world-class Indefinite Chilled Double Poured (ICDP) Rolls, known for their exceptional wear resistance, thermal conductivity, and long service life. These rolls are the industry standard in finishing stands of hot strip mills, cold rolling mills, and other demanding rolling applications.

Indefinite Chilled Double Poured Rolls (ICDP Rolls) are a special type of casting used in rolling mills. Primarily known for its durability and wear resistance, they are also widely used in metal industries.

Our Customers

ICDP Rolls are centrifugally cast double poured rolls with a hard working layer (shell) and a softer core. The outer shell is formed with indefinite chilled iron, ensuring a highly wear-resistant surface, while the core and neck areas are made with nodular or grey iron, ensuring mechanical strength and shock resistance.

Key Features

  • Indefinite Chill Microstructure
Combines fine pearlite with evenly distributed carbide and graphite, offering superior wear resistance and excellent surface finish.
  • Double Poured Technology
Seamless bonding of shell and core enhances toughness and eliminates bonding failures.
  • Uniform Hardness Across the Barrel
Provides consistent roll performance and extended life.
  • High Thermal Conductivity
Enables effective heat dissipation during high-speed rolling, reducing surface cracks.
  • Superior Surface Finish
Ideal for strip mills where product surface quality is critical.
  • Excellent Resistance to Fire Cracks & Spalling
Withstands sudden temperature changes and mechanical shocks.

USP

  • Customized Grades and Sizes as per client rolling needs
  • In-house Metallurgical Testing & Quality Control for guaranteed consistency
  • Global Supply Capability with ISO-certified production standards
  • High Shell Hardness up to 65–80 ShC for demanding applications
  • Computerized Centrifugal Casting Process for precision and reliability
